My 79 Year Old Father-in-Law is Walking Across America!

Among the many wonderful things and people in my life is my 79 year old father-in-law, Pete Tansill - and his lone walk across America. In addition to some fun experiences, Pete has gained a deeper insight and appreciation for the goodness in people all across the continent. Pete is a retired engineer who built sailboats and hiked large portions of the Appalachian trail before deciding to walk across the continent – alone. A great man, with great experiences. EasyLiving Home is a voluntary certification program designed to encourage builders of single-family homes, duplexes and triplexes to include EasyLiving Home features in the design and construction of new homes.

WebWorx converted their standard HTML website to WordPress so they could easily maintain their site content and image galleries.

WebWorx was THRILLED to be asked by Patrick Hull and Alice Gentry Lingerfelt to be the developer for The Eve Branson Foundation’s website. And yes, this is the mum of Sir Richard Branson!

The mission of the Eve Branson Foundation is to improve the lives of women and young girls in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco through access to business, education and health care. The Foundation provides them with educational opportunities, vocational training, work space, tools and other necessary resources to create marketable goods. As a result, these women and young girls have the possibility of becoming economically self sufficient and able to generate income to support themselves and their families.

WebWorx partnered with Yogg on the design portion and then the WordPress Custom Theme was developed entirely by WebWorx. We are SUPER thrilled to have developed this website for The Eve Branson Foundation and wish her, and her foundation, the very best.

I am a big fan of Deepak Chopra and his quote of “thinking outside of the box”. When I heard the quote “Instead of thinking outside of the box, get rid of the box“, it blew me away. I mean, it is so simple, yet so profound. I started thinking about how limitless website development is and the possibilities of solutions that have not even been explored yet or ones that I have not yet learned. And the only way we can do that is to get rid of that “box” that we are so used to. We tend to get so comfortable doing our day to day work, that we rarely have time to explore new ways to do things.

WebWorx, Inc. is an ever-growing, ever-learning, ever-exploring company. That is why this quote sums it up for our company. It just makes sense to not bound ourselves to normal ways of doing things!
